Young Riley can’t wait to go on a South African safari with Cousin Alice, Aunt Martha, and Uncle Max, a famous conservation biologist. Their mission is to track and count baby wild animals. This leads to risky, up close encounters with cheetahs, lions, elephants, wild dogs, baboons, giraffes, and a rare black rhino recently wounded by a poacher’s bullet! Along the way, Riley learns several valuable life lessons in conservation and responsibility.
