Manu wants to learn to sing and speak in Maori, but the other children laugh at his pronunciation. His Kuia Pare reassures him that things will get better, and that night Manu’s dreams are filled with all the creatures of Tane’s forest, who teach him how to sing sweetly and pronounce his words without tripping over his tongue.
