Mr McQuire’s hens don’t want to lay eggs. Mrs McQuire suggests they are cold and Mr McQuire starts knitting socks, hats and coats to keep them warm. In the end they let them out, and the hens lay eggs everywhere. Mr McQuire knits egg warmers to keep the eggs warm.
