Aims to develop a sympathetic and valid understanding of Gallipoli and its significance to the New Zealand way of life in children. Looks at the Gallipoli campaign, the first world war, and New Zealand’s involvement at Gallipoli, the geography and some of those involved. The Dardanelles, Anzac Cove, Chunuk Bair, Lone Pine, Diggers, trenches, the Sphinx, Ari Burnu Point, Plugge’s Plateau, Shrapnel Valley, Rhododendron Ridge, Suvla Bay- these are some of the areas looked at in this resource.
