Every year on the first Monday in June, New Zealanders enjoy a holiday to celebrate the birthday of the British monarch. The current monarch is Queen Elizabeth the Second, and this book looks at the positive aspects of New Zealand’s historic relationship with Britain and the British Monarchy since 1840 as well as the role of the Governor-General. Governors and Governor-Generals of NZ from 1840-2000 are also listed.
