Paddington Bear can manage to get into a lot of trouble in a very short time. He manages to hang Mr Curry’s lawnmower from a tree-top; he comes through the bandstand floor in the middle of the “Surprise Symphony”; he has a sticky time making toffee in Mrs Bird’s kitchen, and an even stickier time explaining what went wrong; and who else but Paddington could set Father Christmas’s beard on fire?
