Sounds Great! is an interactive resource for early literacy learning, with an emphasis on phonics. Each CD-ROM comprises five titles, each focusing on a target letter. Each title begins with a story, followed by a carefully structured sequence of activities. There is also an assessment disc that automatically records students results. Designed to develop phonemic awareness, knowledge of letter-sound relationships, knowledge of letter names and letter shapes, skill in identifying rhyme and building word families, word building and decoding skills, key concepts about print, the ability to write, and a knowledge of high frequency words and sentence structure.
