Verity’s mother died the day she was born and she often talks about her to her cat, Mabel, because Mabel doesn’t ever get upset. But Verity is mortified when her cat Mabel goes missing and she finds her dead in her bedroom wardrobe. Having learnt how the ancient Egyptians worshipped cats at school, Verity decides to make Mabel into a cat mummy, but oh the smell!
