This classified guide has been designed to help teachers to select material for reading to, with and by children. It also matches the level of most of the material with that in the Ready to read series. Shared, Guided and Independent materials for Magenta, Red, Yellow, Blue, Green, Orange, Turquoise, Purple, and Gold levels, as well as Alphabet books, Non-fiction books, Poems and rhymes and Reading to children. Teachers may use this publication as a quick reference for finding a book’s approximate reading level in relation to the Ready to Read series; as a catalogue for finding books suitable for children reading at a particular level; as a guide for organising books for use, storage and easy access; and as a guide for borrowing or buying books.
