David lay quite still in the darkness of the camp, waiting for the signal. When the current is turned off he is off over the wall. Silent and watchful, David tramps across Europe knowing threat at any moment they may catch up with him David, who has lived most of his twelve years in a prison camp, makes his escape and travels across Europe. By the time his long and lonely journey is complete he has lost some of his mistrust of people.
