For two spacer kids trapped in The Empty- a junkyard robot might be their only hope. On an Earth that has become an inhospitable wilderness, Toby and her friend Thaddeus find themselves lost in "the empty" with Orvis, an obsolete robot who is their only hope of protection and escape.
