In the sequel to Spiral Stairs, Erin and her friend Albia and Cambria are the youngest of the advance party of colonists living on the planet Azurea. The settlers’ mission is to discover if the planet can be farmed and settled successfully. Things are going badly for the settlers in Blue Gold. There has been no rain and the crops are growing slowly. It looks like the skypearl is the only hope for the colony.
