The 14 tracks on this cd offer seven options each for primary and secondary schools. The primary and secondary tracks are differently keyed to suit the different quality of voices at these age levels. As well as the full-mix tracks, there are instrumental and other mixes for use in backing school rehearsals and performances. Both sets of tracks include the words of verse one of the anthem in English and Mäori: a karanga appropriate to the singing of the national anthem is followed by the verse in Mäori, a short haka, and the verse in English. The bicultural contemporary style of this CD, which features young artists and musicians from top New Zealand bands and television shows, is a celebration of New Zealand's heritage.
