This is the first in an exciting series about Will and his friends from Castle Redmont. When fifteen-year-old Will is rejected by Castle Redmont’s Battleschool, he becomes the reluctant apprentice to Halt, a mysterious Ranger. Will learns to use the Ranger’s secret weapons, and ends up on a desperate mission to prevent the assassination of the King.
