Additional Info
Florence Nightingale became perhaps the most famous person of the Victorian Age. She won her fame by challenging and changing the attitude of people towards women and what they should do with their lives. Nursing was not a profession for women of her wealthy background. From nursing poor families in their own homes, she went on to nurse sick and wounded soldiers in The Crimea.
