Notes
This is the true story of an amazing dog with a taste for adventure, who brought joy and laughter during the dark days of the Depression and became a much-loved sea-faring legend. Paddy, the Airedale terrier frequented the Wellington waterfront. He was everybody’s friend, the big brown dog with the friendly grin and floppy ears, and they named him, Paddy the Wanderer. He began roaming the streets looking for his little mistress in 1928, and began an amazing journey that would take him around New Zealand, across the Tasman and into the heart of the city. He was on the run from the dog-catcher, adopted by taxi drivers and watersiders who bailed him out, he ran alongside them in the Wellington riots, and when he went missing, they searched for him far and wide.Additional Info
