After Nana dies, Grandpop returns to holiday at their favourite camping ground by the sea. He misses Nana, but one morning he discovers a hungry black cat on the step of his caravan. This is no ordinary cat, for every day Blackie follows Grandpop down to the river mouth to fish. A special bond quickly develops between them.
