Workbook Stage 2 has been designed for students who are familiar with single sounds. It will provide a continuation of the skills developed and confidence gained by completing Workbook Stage 1. Children need to learn the most common sounds made in English when two or three letters are grouped together. It is the automatic recognition of these combinations that allow children to become competent and fluent readers.
