Box Dictations [Stage 1] Spelling exercises following the structure of Alpha to Omega

Sumner, Rosemary

Murray, Lynda

Notes
Writing dictations is a very useful way to test how much children with spelling problems have learned/assimilated, and provide practice for the child at writing learned spellings in a meaningful context. However, writing dictations can be a frustrating, confusing and depressing experience for the Dyslexic child unless carefully handled.
Box dictations try to make dictation fun while building up self-confidence and providing a correct visual image to be remembered.
