This is a book about Mother Nature on her really bad days, when she’s feeling absolutely rotten. The book is broken into six sections, each of them on the subject of one kind of natural disaster or another : tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, and volcanoes. Each section contains stories told by survivors, the most amazing photos we could find, and a dose of “disasterology,” the science behind it all.
