This book is a collection of unedited personal accounts of the earthquakes of September 4, 2010 and February 22, 2011 as told by Canterbury primary and intermediate school children. All accounts were previously submitted to the whenmyhomeshook website. This book is a record of their stories and aims to help all the children overcome the whole experience, by viewing their experiences as part of their past, documented in a book.Contents

The website for this was an initiative set up in the days following the September earthquake. The aim of the website was to encourage children to talk about their experience, and by viewing other children’s stories they would realise that there were many others that also felt scared.
