Birk the Berserker is the biggest, strongest, tallest Viking in the village, but he is also the biggest coward. He does not like fighting, gets seasick at the thought of going on a raid, and is scared of all the Viking girls. Harold the Thump is disgusted with him and sets out to teach him a lesson. When Birk is forced to go on a voyage of raiding, the results are not quite what anyone expects.
