Summary: 6th February, 1840. The date for the signing of Te Tiriti o Waitangi has been suddenly changed. Hobson and his officials scramble to be ready on time. While the chiefs are apprehensive about what the future may hold, a large group of them have made the decision to sign. Despite this, there is still uncertainty about what the day will bring.
